Terms of Service & Platform Agreement
Last Updated: June 2026
Welcome to Sling, an independent website platform operated by RED DUCK TECH (PTY) LTD ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"), a registered private company in South Africa with registration number 2026/309028/07 and registered address at 310 Waterbrook, Sitari Country Estate, Macassar, Cape Town, 7134, South Africa. By creating an account, selecting a template, or using our visual editor, you agree to these terms.
1. The Core Philosophy: Independence & Guardrails
Sling is built to provide maximum operational speed and layout safety. Our system operates on strict structural conventions to ensure your site is fast by default. By using Sling, you accept that layout configurations are governed by these performance-driven templates.
2. Radical Data Ownership
- Your Property:You retain absolute ownership of all textual content, branding assets, inventory details, and images uploaded to your website instance. We claim zero intellectual property rights over your data.
- Zero Vendor Lock-In:You can leave the platform at any time. Because every tenant on our platform operates within an isolated database instance, you have the right to request a complete export of your flat data files and compiled static code to host independently anywhere on earth.
3. Subscriptions and Local Fees
- Fixed ZAR Pricing:All platform subscription models, setup fees, and maintenance cuts are billed predictably in South African Rand (ZAR). We do not subject your business to foreign currency exchange volatility.
- Cancellation & Refunds:You can cancel your Sling subscription at any time. To cancel, simply email us at jordanscarrott@gmail.comwith your account details. Once processed, your cancellation will take effect at the end of your current monthly billing cycle, and you will retain full access to your platform features until that date. We do not provide partial refunds or credits for any partial-month subscription periods.
4. Acceptable Use and Platform Security
You may not use Sling to host illegal material, distribute malware, or execute fraudulent activities under South African law. Because your data architecture uses isolated containerization at the operating system level, any deliberate attempt to breach the boundaries of neighboring server containers will result in immediate termination of service and referral to regulatory authorities.
